I had an entrepreneurial spirit from a very young age, but I couldn’t quite settle on what I was most passionate about, particularly when it came to pursuing a career as an independent business woman. The seed was planted when I was a college student- every Sunday whilst my peers were in study groups or surfing in the gorgeous California beaches; I was visiting Show Houses. One couldn’t help but marvel at the spectacular homes in La Jolla, Rancho Bernado and Sorrento Valley Private Estates. I remember falling in love with Real Estate then. The architect, decor, and without a doubt; the area codes some of these homes were nestled in.
I graduated with an Associate Degree from San Diego Mesa College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from The Charles W. Lamden School of Accountancy, San Diego State University, USA. I lived and worked in Corporate America for almost a decade and a half, where I practiced in Public Accounting, Financial Services, Government Contracting and Law. I relocated back to South Africa in March 2014 to head up a Finance start - up team that would build the ever first Iveco Plant in Southern Africa, which is located and fully operating in Rosslyn Pretoria.
It was during my short tenure in Corporate South Africa that I realized I wanted to pursue my passion and career in Real Estate. I worked as a Property Consultant for an International Real Estate Company which is where I learned the ropes of the industry. I further pursued my EAAB (Estate Agency Affairs Board) qualifications which have enabled me to open the doors of Loara Realty. My motivation is fuelled by helping young South Africans follow their dreams and gain financial independence. I am creating opportunities in a male dominated space, where property consultants like myself can say, they too belong and are equally entitled to be here.
